To our tribe, our friends and family, I do hope you are all safe and well.
I am sorry that I have been so quiet recently but it has been a very hard time for me.
The corona virus pandemic has, for me, brought out feelings of great anxiety and fear of losing those I love and I have dug deep into my inner resources to help me get through each day – but I will write more on that another time I promise.
For now, we have very exciting news that we want to share with you.
We have done it! This this week we received confirmation from the charities commission that THE HANNAH WHITLEY FOUNDATION CIO has been granted charitable status.
This is huge news for us. On a personal note the memory of my daughter, my heart and soul, is now indelible.
But it also is the ultimate validation that the Commission consider that our yoga will be of public benefit to provide help to those in our community, through our yoga classes.
I feel so very honoured.
I would personally like to thank you, our supporters, who I could not have succeeded without – and my devoted trustees Chelsea, Charlie and Jo who have worked tirelessly by my side to achieve our aim. A very big thank also to our devoted teachers. John Brown you are so gifted and we are so lucky to have you. I always feel you’re my gift from Han. You have been by my side since Hannah’s passing. And Jane Butterworth who rose to the challenge to create our exceptional restorative weekly classes. Thank you.
We now can’t wait to see you all again as soon as we are able. We will be back in full force and will truly do everything we can to make our Hannah proud.
Please stay safe.
Sending you all loving kindness.
