National Black Dog Day

Today is National Black Dog Day. Nothing to do with depression, it’s to raise awareness that black dogs are some of the last to find homes (it’s the same with black cats)

This led us to think back to the beginnings of the Foundation. This photo is from 2018. It was Han’s birthday weekend and we’d organised a walk in Bramhall Park in celebration of her life following on from an evening launch of the Foundation. That weekend we raised £15,000 to go towards providing free yoga classes to those in need.

There have been many milestones since then and we now provide two classes a week, our restorative session on a Tuesday and a Wednesday class for those on a cancer journey. You can read more about how the Foundation has developed here https://thehannahwhitleyfoundation.org/milestones/

If you wish to join us for our free restorative class this Tuesday at 10.45am, you just need to turn up on the day or you can book a place in advance here https://yogaontheedge.co.uk/timetable/

The continued generosity of Han’s friends mean these classes will always be free as long as we have the funds to do so. Come and join our wonderful yogi Clare Broomhead at her Alderley Edge studio Yoga on the Edge
