Why we started the Foundation

We thought we’d give you a reminder as to why we try and help others and keep Han’s memory alive. These are some words from Han’s mum Nicki

“Hannah passed away at the age of 23, a long way before her time and a long way from home, just when her life was flourishing into a bright future where she could achieve her dreams. Hannah had already achieved great things by the age of 23, excelling in her career as a qualified chartered accountant, but life was more to Hannah than work so towards the end of 2017 she left to begin her trip of a lifetime.

It was her dream to travel the world, and whilst working she had saved up enough money to experience everything South East Asia had to offer. However, it was not to be, and 10 days into her trip Hannah was involved in a fatal road traffic accident which took her life in Goa, India.

Hannah had a unique personality, her vitality, passion and above all love of life was infectious, and it touched everybody who knew her. Her spirit was rare and it will live on through this Foundation which was set up in the months after her passing. Her vibe was completely her own. She reminded me of no one else.

Hannah was a very spiritual person, she loved yoga and meditation and through this love we will ensure her spirit lives on to help others.”

If you or anyone you know is in need or our sessions, we fund three classes per week. Our yogi Clare Broomhead takes two classes every Wednesday at Maggie’s at The Christie for those who are on a cancer journey and there is a class for those who are going through challenging times every Thursday at Clare’s studios Yoga on the Edge in Alderley Edge. The session takes place at 12.00pm and lasts for an hour. It is a Restorative yoga class and is particularly good for those who are going through tough times as it helps to calm you down and promotes wellbeing. All you need to do is email info@yogaontheedge.co.uk in advance to book your free place. Please also use this email if you want further information on the Wednesday sessions.
